Medical Weight Loss
A medically guided approach to sustainable weight loss—built around you.
If you’ve tried “everything” and the scale still won’t move, you’re not broken—and you’re not alone. Weight regulation is complex, influenced by appetite hormones, metabolism, blood sugar control, brain chemistry, sleep, stress, and your body’s energy-conservation systems. At Ascentis Health and Wellness, we take a different approach: evidence-based, medically supervised weight loss that’s personalized to your body and your goals.
This is not a one-size-fits-all program. It’s a plan designed with intention, supported with real clinical oversight, and delivered with the kind of care that makes you feel comfortable, understood, and part of the Ascentis family.
Who Medical Weight Loss Is For
Our program is designed for clients who may be experiencing:
- Stubborn weight gain or weight-loss resistance (even with diet/exercise)
- Increased appetite, cravings, or difficulty with portion control
- Low energy, fatigue, or reduced physical endurance
- Insulin resistance, prediabetes, metabolic syndrome, or elevated blood sugar
- Health concerns linked to excess weight such as elevated cholesterol, blood pressure, inflammation, or cardiovascular risk
- Arthritic conditions of the lumbar spine, hip, and knee.
The Ascentis Difference: Start with Data, Not Guesswork
Before we recommend any therapy, we start with comprehensive blood work to understand your baseline health and determine the safest, most effective options for you.
Ascentis contract with LabCorp and Quest to provide cost-affordable, customized testing panels designed around your goals and treatment needs.

GLP-1 Weight Loss Medications
(When Clinically Appropriate)
GLP-1 therapies enhance insulin release in response to meals, reduce liver glucose output, slow gastric emptying, and act on brain receptors involved in appetite—helping many people feel full sooner, eat less, and improve metabolic markers over time.
GLP-1 medications are commonly administered as a subcutaneous injection, often weekly—though some clients may respond better to microdosing 2–4 times per week. Some formulations are available orally for maintenance or for those who prefer not to inject (absorption may be less optimized than injections).
After starting GLP-1 therapy, many people report reduced appetite and cravings, improved portion control, and measurable weight loss over weeks to months—along with improved confidence and metabolic markers.
Common side effects can include GI symptoms (nausea, vomiting, constipation/diarrhea), injection-site reactions, and changes related to slowed gastric emptying (which may affect absorption of other medications). Less common but more serious risks can include pancreatitis or gallbladder/biliary issues.
Medication Options We Commonly Discuss
Ozempic® / Wegovy® / Semaglutide (GLP-1)
These medications are a GLP-1 receptor agonists used to support weight management and metabolic health by mimicking natural GLP-1, helping control appetite, improve insulin response, and slow gastric emptying. It is commonly administered as a once-weekly subcutaneous injection with dosing that is typically titrated gradually to improve tolerance and results.
Zepbound® / Mounjaro® / Tirzepatide (GLP-1 + GIP)
These are dual-action medications that target both GLP-1 and GIP receptors to support significant weight reduction and improved blood-sugar control. It is typically administered as a once-weekly subcutaneous injection with doses gradually increased over time for tolerance and optimization. Many clients report reduced cravings, decreased waist circumference, improved energy, and strong momentum when paired with a comprehensive plan.
